Spa routine- confidence, outfits, bikinis, parties!

Hey peeps!
Last night, my friend hosted a party at The Swan Hotel (fancy!) and we all indulged in a lovely facial, afternoon tea and hour in the pool. It's up there with all of the top parties I've been to! I wanted to share with you my confidence tips, outfits and summary of what happened. Enjoy!

After school, we all wandered down to the car, with our sport kits, school bags, sleepover bags and coats. We jumped in, birthday girl in the front, three people squished in the middle seats and 3 piled in the boot. After about 10 minutes driving around, we finally arrived at the hotel, greeted with dainty plates of china and mini sandwiches. After selecting hot chocolate or tea, we all began eating and giggling over practically anything! Birthday Girl opened all her presents and loved them all! I got the Zoella perfume (let's spritz) and two bracelets- one baby pink and one grey. Then, we began our sandwiches- which were amazing! When the waitors bought out our cakes (4 different types each- all mini and delicious!), we immediately scoffed each and everyone. Red velvet, scones, bake-well tarts and cookies! Once we had finally finished, we got into pairs. I went with a friend who I'll call A (and no- her name isn't Amy, Alice or Abigail!). A and I went into the pool with O, K, R and M, alongside A and myself! I quickly got into my new bikini, which I literally love to the moon and back! The pool was so nice and warm! Later, me and A headed into the spa room...

We entered a dimly lit room, and lied down on beds in separate rooms, but with no curtain or wall separating them. As this was my first ever spa experience, I wasn't sure how to act- should I talk to the beautician or just close my eyes and relax. I think I made a pretty good choice, by starting with small talk (like: Wow- all my friends are really loud!- they were, we could hear them in the pool!) until I settled and relaxed more. She applied a bubbly cleanser to m face, followed by an exfoliator, with the consistency of a paste. Then, she toned my skin. To last for the next 15 minutes, she applied a face mask. Then, she moisturised. Whilst the whole process was happening, with soothing music, lighting and massaging, I was thinking through this blog post (which I often find myself doing when I'm relaxing) and thougroughly just feeling happy!

For my outfit, I wore a white top with a scallop hem-line and floral cut-outs, a floral grey-scale kimono and black jeans. During the treatment, I was wearing my bikini!

After the main party, we headed back to Birthday Girl's house for a sleepover! It consisted of dancing, screaming and hysterical laughing! It was seriously a GREAT party!

10 MAC Lipsticks That Are Pure Genius

Hey peeps!
Today I am blogging about MAC Lipsticks - MAC is incredible, making gorgeous lippies in hundreds of beautiful shades. I am going to list my top ten of all time:
1. Tango
This gorgeous Taylor-Swift style lippy is bright and daring, perfect for parties and cinema dates. Wear with a loud dress for maximum pop and bling.
2. Girl Talk
I am obsessed with the hot pink, bubbly shade of this lipstick! MAC have created the perfect name for it, too - the colour is strong and vivid, suiting the name.
3. Demure
This is an unusual shade of pink - lilac-like and extremely girly, perfect for parties or sleepovers. But be warned - it is very bright!
4. Medusa
Medusa is a Winter-suited dark berry-colour lipstick. This will suit pale skin and dark hair and can be worn with any stylish Winter outfit. I love wearing this with silver smokey eye makeup.
5. Platonic
Scared to go for a shockingly bright colour of lippy and hunting for a subtle shade of cream or nude? Platonic is lighter and very girly, suiting paler skin tones and blonde hair. This is perfect for a spring look and will go with anything.
6. Ecstasy
This is probably the most shocking pink lipstick I have ever seen - be careful to apply it in front of a mirror! In my opinion, Ecstasy is best worn with bronde hair, and will suit any skin tone, especially darker tans. Beautiful!
7. Patisserie
A ple nudey colour, Patisserie is adorable and a lovely subtle shade, making it ideal for walks in the park and civilised dinners. If you are afraid to be bold with your lippy, I would recommend Patisserie's girly, glam look.
8. Honey Love
This sweet shade would suit Freddy My Love's makeup taste perfectly - its cute, nude, peachy and pretty! Wear with a dress, skirt or cute button-up shirt to add to the feminine touch this lippy gives your look.
9. Vegas Volt
Peach-loving lipstick fanatics will crush on this bright, bold MAC bae. The packaging looks super-professional against the concentrated red colour of this lipstick, and the tint it gives your lips will suit any outfit. Be bold with it!
10. Chatterbox
Chatterbox is another favourite - its lighter than Girl Talk but another classy pink, deep in colour, slightly girlier this time. It's price is amazing and I would recommend this shade for parties, late-night dates and maybe your prom. Enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed this post - be sure to comment below if you enjoyed and tell us which is your favourite; that would be amazing!
Thank you all so much.

DIY tumblr room decor- inexpensive and fun!

Hey peeps!
Pretty much all day I've been busy spicing up my room. I'm so pleased with the result that I wanted to share it with you! Some of these are things in which you can purchase, and others you can use things you will already have to create. All the things I've used I already had at home!
Stationary city!
I'm not sure why, but this DIY reminds my of a city. The larger jars replicate skyscrapers, and the smaller object represent cars and houses. To make my 'stationery city', I took one of those things that organises binders and papers, sprayed it pink and put it on its' side. This allowed a slot to put things in like tape and post its. Then, on top, I put numerous jars holding my stationery. On it, as well as stationery, I stored my go-to lip balms, post-its and paper clips.
DIY cactus night light
To create this, you'll need: small pebbles/gems, plain simple fairy lights (completely boring and plain- not fancy ones), a vase and a cactus (or for a larger vase, multiple cacti). Bundle the fairy lights into the vase, making sure they cover as much of the outside area of the jar as possible. Fill in all of the gaps by pouring the pebbles/gems in. Burry a cactus or your cacti into the top. Turn on the lights!
Memory train
The DIY which I like to call a 'memory train' consists of a line of photos, all tied together with twine. You can use polaroid snaps, regular photos or photos printed from your Instagram, if you have one. I used twine for a more retro vibe, but you might prefer shiny ribbon, or clear thread!
Cosy nook
This is a great place for you to chill! Grab bean bags, cushions, blankets, stuffed toys and anything else cosy, layering them all to make a pile of cosiness! To the side, use a crate (the cute kind), paint it to match the colours of your room and fill it with fluffy socks, magazines, DVDs and books! This is an ideal place to chill when it's cold, you're ill or just want some down-time; enjoy!
Mache quote
In Hobby Craft, they sell these letters at about £1-£5 (depending on the size). Buy a few to spell XOXO (that's what I did), love, laugh, BFF- whatever you'd like! Cover them in tissue paper, using a similar concept to paper mache. Decorate with glitter glue and sequins!
I hope you liked these DIYs. I've tried them all myself and love them so much! If you try them out, comment below and leave us some pictures. If you customize them in a different way to how I explained them, let us know- maybe we could turn it into a guest post for you!

My gymnastics/dance warm-up routine!

Hey peeps!
Today I'm going to be doing something a little different! I want to share my dance or gymnastics warm-up routine including stretches, getting my heart racing and what I wear. Lots of you probably don't know I'm into dance and gymnastics, mostly dance, and spend loads of time practicing at home! This is how I prepare for dance lessons, gymnastic work-outs and general dancing (or doing gymnastics) with friends. I hope you find this useful, if you're into dance and/or gymnastics, and interesting if not! Enjoy!
  1. I jump into a leotard of choice! Sometimes I put one of my baggy cheerleading tops on top, when I'm feeling un-athletic, just to keep me comfy while I warm up. I pair these with either black gymnastics shorts, or black leggings. My leotard I wore today was a magenta velvet pink, with a holographic lining about 3 inches thick across the top- front and back. It's sleeveless.
  2. I then tie my hair into a bun or French plait, to ensure it's out of the way!
  3. I started my trying to increase my heart rate. Usually I start with a jog to skipping to leaps. I follow with some cheerleading jumps. Usually, I start with tuck, then toe-touch and then pike. When I feel like challenging myself, I do double or even triple pikes!
  4. Still increasing my heart rate, I move on to choreographing tiny dance routines of about 8 counts. For example, step, turn step, hop, pirouette (two) and high kick. They look ridiculous when you do them, but make exercising so much more fun!
  5. At this point, sometimes I mark through my current choreography for dance, depending on what performance I'm preparing for.
  6. Now, I begin to stretch. My favourite stretch of all time is straddle stretch, so I begin with that. I then do some lunges, and floor kicks. That's my legs done! I spend 10-15 minutes on the above!
  7. Next, I work on my abdominal muscles, although you might not consider it stretching. I do a few sit ups (but the dance ones) and hold some positions. I spend 5-10 minutes doing this.
  8. Finally, I do some simple neck, shoulder and arm positions, to stretch them out. For example, to condition my arms I wrap them around my back (one arm downwards, one upwards) and see if I can get them to meet behind my back.
  9. I also attempt all of my splits (always achieving left leg and box splits, sometimes right leg). If I do get them all, I use them in some cheerleading jumps, just for fun. It's great to start with one thing and end it with the same thing, because you can see how you've improved over the course of just 1-2 hours! It's really rewarding!
  10. Here I like to practice my scorpion, needle, back bend and back-bend stand up.
  11. I then do some simple gymnastics, like handstands, cartwheels and front limbo.
  12. Finally, I do my dance or gymnastics routine (either make one up or do one my coach/teacher has given me) to the best of my ability, because I've worked really hard on warming up!
Thanks for reading all that! Do you do gymnastics? If you'd like to see my cool down after a work-out or dance lesson, comment below!
